Full-Time Bus Driver

Gasconade County R-1 School District is seeking a Full-Time Bus Driver to join our transportation team. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact by safely transporting students while serving our school district and community.

We are looking for an individual who is committed to student safety, provides excellent customer service, and demonstrates a genuine care for children. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and able to work independently while maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• Previous school bus driving experience is preferred but not required
• Strong commitment to student safety and professionalism
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely transport students on assigned morning and afternoon bus routes
• Drive activity, field trip, athletic, and extracurricular routes as assigned
• Supervise students while they are on the bus and maintain a safe environment
• Conduct required daily pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned bus
• Report maintenance concerns and safety issues promptly
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of students in all situations
• Maintain positive, professional interactions with students, parents, and school personnel
• Complete monthly reports and other required administrative duties
